So They Waited... and Waited

I was one of those people who would say that I would call you right back and then not do so.

You know, I really thought that it was normal to do that. Surely the person I'd say it to didn't really expect me to call them right back. I mean I just figured that if I remembered to or needed to actually call them right back then cool, but if not, then it was no big deal! I thought nothing more of it.
Does this sound familiar? Sure it does. You either do it to someone or someone does it to you. It's just that common.

One of my best friends recently had this same complaint about business calls that needed to be followed through on. She felt she should not have to track down grown individuals to get time sensative updates. She has full right to be disappointed. They would tell her they would call back with the info and then never call back!

It took for my brother to drill his point home to me about this very act that I was constantly committing against him. He kept reminding me of how he really took me for my word when I said I'd call back. He complained that he'd expect the call the same day but then days would go by and he'd here nothing from me.
Without him saying this directly to me, I was finally starting to understand that what I was doing was being inconsiderate of other people. I didn't know that people were taking my words seriously. My mother, brother, sister-in-law, and friends all at some point had this issue with me. I realized I was being selfish in my thinking; I never even thought to consider their feelings...I didn't think it was important enough. However, it made everyone feel as if I felt they weren't important enough to care.

Think about it. When someone you care about says they will call you back - especially when you are discussing something of importance - don't you sit closer to your phone, expecting to get that returned call? How does it make you feel when you never hear back? Do you end up having to be the one to call back?
Lets do unto others as we'd have them do unto us. :o)

So now when I say I will call back, these are not aimless words that will go out void. My words will complete their task. Even if I am unable to call right back to finish a conversation, I now try to at least call back within the same day or 24 hours. It's a simple and selfless act of respect.

p.s.
I was also one of those people who would hang up the phone without saying goodbye. The grandparents hated that one!

Lazy Workout that Works...Go Figure

Let the baby that gave you the fat, take off the fat! Make it a daily event! These are exercises that can be done with your baby in your arms.

Some of you that know me are probably wondering why I would be writing about taking off the fat when I've always been thin and trying to gain weight. Well after having my two babies, yeah, I was thin, but I had no tone and cellulite was making me feel even less sexy.(For those who don't know, cellulite on a skinny woman really makes us look lazy! LOL) But seriously. After having my second child I really wasn't getting out at all; even now.

So here are a few moves from my "Lazy Lady Workout Routine" that I do right in my bed or on the couch watching Young & the Restless (my guilty pleasure). If you're like me, you will almost feel guilty getting in a nice workout without having to go to the gym!

A couple of these workouts work great while breastfeeding but overall for just bonding with your baby through holding or touch while you tone up during a busy day.

Stretching:
Short and sweet honey... don't hurt yourself but make consistent holding efforts for a few short minutes.

- Naturally stretch your entire body. Take at least 5 to 10 minutes total.

Before each position, make yourself comfortable but make sure it's you, and not your pillows doing the work!

Grab & Lift:
- Literally grab anything that you can hold with one hand while you cradle your child in your other arm. I don't care if it's your remote, or a can good. I use my purse if it's by my bed because it usually has a bit of weight to it.

- Lay close to the edge of your bed (or across the couch) with baby in arm opposite the edge.

- As you are cradling your baby, do simple arm lifts with the arm that hangs off the edge. Lower your arm as much as you can stand it and lift it back up.
You can do this with your arm straight or bend at the elbow.

- Do 3 sets, increasing the number of lifts each time. I usually go as high as I can tolerate the muscle burn - that is normally the number I stick to until I no longer feel the burn at that capacity and so I up the anti until I do feel it. I call this the 'burn notice' which is that tense burning feeling we get in our muscles. The burn is a sign of building and toning. Usually I simply do 3 sets of 35. 35 is my burn notice. Be realistic. Many do more and many do less.

- Switch baby into the opposite arm now. Also you will have to switch opposite edges of your bed or couch to let your other arm hang now. Repeat. Don't forget to keep baby as a loving focus.

Rock-A-Bye-Baby:
My son use to fall asleep to this one.

- Lay flat.

- Cradle baby across your chest into your bosom with both arms and do half sit ups.

- Don't tense any other parts of your body so that all the muscles in your upper torso are obliged to work.

- Once again, you set the count according to your burn notice.

- Do 3 sets.

Get 'Em High:

- Lay flat on your bed as you hold baby in the air (straight up & out) for fun & allow your legs to slightly hang over the bed.

- Either keep baby high, keeping playful eye contact, or gently raise and lower baby as you begin to do partial sit ups while doing leg lifts (3 sets per leg).
With each leg lift, raise or lower baby (or just keep baby gently held up).

- Allow as much tension to go to your lower torso as possible.

- You can also lay flat and do this as well. However, sitting up causes the neck, abs, arms, buttocks and legs to work harder.

- Do 3 sets

Be a 2:
- If you wish to be a 2 and healthy then grab your toddler child and run, jump, giggle and wiggle with him/her. Acting like a two year old is not only great for your body and soul, but for you & your child's bond!

These were just a few quick tips for a lazy but valuable workout...Why work harder? Work smarter right?

POPCORN CEILINGS - Poem

I’ve lived my whole life between popcorn ceilings and vinyl floors.
Next door neighbors and dollar stores.
Liquor stores, Checks Cashed, and the plethora of churches.
From clubs on the weekends to changing purses…
Faith came around so now I’m rooted.
And these same popcorn ceilings and vinyl floors
Have made each sip of life diluted…i see more now for which i am suited.
My walk in Christ, in which I am booted.
I see my dreams but reality is MYYY perspective.
Let me keep my mouth shut…
I see my President whom God’s elected.
Let me jump on the seen from quietly within the heat…
I see me…”I” see me, doing what I soberly can’t see
The visions I have are far beyond me
The visions I have are not simply for me…
But for my neighbor, the chosen, and called to be.
For those and I, economically and spiritually…
And to encourage my brother, my slave to the faith…
Whom also lived their lives between the heavens and dirt floors.
Questionable neighbors and whores.
Strip clubs, churches, and liquor stores.
From hard drugs back in the day to cancer sticks…
Faith came around, yet struggle abounds…
The thorn in my side; the looks of other people’s eyes
the reflection of hope in which we must all abide.
ALL for His glory purpose and praise!

This is nothing funny, just familiar… Poem

a peak of a new ness
only known to a poor man
only words in a pool of vision (and he finally made it plain).
drenched with a tolerable unrest
Jesus Jesus Jesus as he cries
cuz He hears
but Jesus Jesus Jesus
won’t abide
Jesus Jesus Jesus won’t abide merely ta tears.
His Word is His Word
yeah, we all know that
but what about when the words are spoken and there’s nuthin in return, nuthin you seem ta get back;
moan and groan moan and groan
but do you see why there’s nuthin in return?
Jesus Jesus Jesus says that it’s patience the poor man Must learn.

Skinny in Fat America

I came across a 2yr old paper that I wrote in college about being underweight that I feel the need to share. I believe this paper is relevant still today. It's very informative and will hopefully encourage or enlighten someone.

For far too long, being underweight in America has been looked upon as being glamorous and a sign of physical perfection in comparison to being overweight and obese. The media overwhelmingly bombards and dominates the public minds with the “how to” diets, pill prescriptions, weight loss programs, and medical options such as gastric bypass surgery to meet the needs of the many overweight individuals in America. The tools provided to those who are overweight, such as the mentioned above along with camps and retreats are endless. Any such tools for the underweight are practically non-existent. Being naturally underweight is often mistaken for or associated with being anorexic or having other eating disorders and sickness. This is not the case in this research paper. Being naturally underweight is a heavily overlooked topic in America and as a result of this, there is a voice of a small few that have been neglected and left to fend for ones self. Temptations and pressures of vanity projected onto society plague not only the overweight, but the underweight alike. The main difference however, is that there is obviously more being done to encourage and aid the overweight population while overshadowing the needs of the underweight. The emotional trials and health problems of those that are naturally underweight (or “skinny”) are greatly underestimated in America in comparison to those who are overweight and obese.
It is obvious that though the underweight and overweight individual are at opposite ends of the spectrum, the common issues shared by both, undoubtedly connect at those ends (The Associated Press, 2004). Walking in a public place, one underweight individual hears negative comments on how skinny one is, yet at the same time, are looked down upon when in the midst of a crowd of those trying to lose unwanted weight. On the flip side, people that are obese or merely overweight clearly have had the similar issue of public humiliation in some form as well. One hears about the child embarrassed by their parent’s weight and do not favor them going around their friends. In other cases such as physical and mental health, although being overweight causes a few more obstacles, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, hypo and hypertension, are all risks that both have in common in some form. Obviously, skinny and heavy people alike still have problems fitting certain types of clothing, fitting on amusement park rides (either can not fit or too thin to safely be secured in a seat), and having to count calories either to lose or to gain weight.
There are a few reasons for being underweight. A person may have a high metabolism which basically means their body burns calories very quickly, which is why in most cases, a thin person is able to eat so much and not gain weight. The other reasons could be due to malnutrition, sickness such as AIDS and cancer, or dealing with eating disorders (The Associated Press, 2004). Another reason could simply be heredity. There are some cases in which it is obvious that a person may just have a small skeletal framework and so their body naturally is not made to hold a lot of weight (Aaron, 2003). In any case, no matter the reason for being underweight, it is important to maintain good health.
Being naturally underweight is not looked down upon nor deemed as a problem in the same way as being overweight, which contributes to the underweight neglect. The obvious issue is that the majority of Americans prefer being thin instead of overweight or obese. In a study highlighted in PsychologyToday.com, 50 percent of Americans were unhappy with the sizes of their abdomens and waists. Others find it practically loathsome to be overweight and said they would do anything to prevent being overweight, proving how Americans are bias when it comes to weight and obesity in particular (PT Staff, nd). But what all this does is add more pressure on to the underweight person who is expected to look good all the while needing help that is not readily available with a sympathetic ear (Barrier, 1991). When it comes to appearance, the thin person is acceptable and the overweight person is not. This mentality is what leads to the mental health issues dealt with by thin people (Aaron, 2004).
There is a tendency to assume that naturally underweight people are not insecure about their body image. Often times when the subject of weight arises and the overweight person makes reference to losing, while the skinny person to gaining, the response to the skinny person is most likely to be, ‘you’re perfect how you are” and, “you can fit anything”. Chris Collier, a political science major of Bedford, expresses this even further to The DailyToreador.com as he states, “If you're thin there's nothing wrong with you - you don't need to change. If you're overweight there's something wrong.” While these comments should be flattering, they generally are not, simply because the truth is that having a low body mass index (or BMI) is far from perfect, it’s unhealthy, and one can not hardly “fit anything” without getting alterations. Of course this statement Collier made is a good example of the perception that a thin individual has to often face. No matter how much society wants to over rate being thin as glam, in reality, the insecurities that go along with being thin can be anything from having [for women] extremely small or flat breast or [for men] a bird chest, to not fitting into bottoms, certain shoes, or just fitting in among peers in a social atmosphere. In a time where having a Brad Pitt or thick Beyonce buttocks, breast from Dr. 90210, and a size 24 or 36 waist, and thick legs are choice over stick legs and a buttocks that can barely hold up or fill out your pants, being skinny just adds up to falling short of necessity.
Many overweight and non-overweight alike, make it there (for some) unrealistic goal to become skinny, while the underweight struggle to gain healthy body mass. While fat America is finding out the best ways to lose weight, skinny America is searching where they may, to find how they can put on the pounds. Becoming overweight is a constant attention getter (Hellman, 2005). The overweight have Curves, Jenny Craig, The countless health plans have no sympathy for the underweight. A healthy body mass index is generally between an 18.5 and 24.9. Anything under an 18.5 is considered unhealthy (DHHS, nd). Falling below these lines can be very frustrating for the underweight person and leave one feeling a bit hopeless.
There are potential illnesses that can stem from being naturally underweight. Issues such as thyroid malfunction, hair loss, and heart arrhythmia are known to occur among underweight individuals. Other problems include brittle bones from decreased bone mass and the absence of the menstrual cycle, also seen in overweight people (Aaron, 2003). Depression and anxiety both were found to be more of a problem in underweight individuals more than overweight. It was realized, in one regard, that even though thin individuals have less physical disability or illness than overweight people, the thin person is more likely to suffer from mental health issues (Paulik-Kienlen, 2007). Basically, underweight people can become fatigue easily and more prone to disease due to a weakened immune system (Barrier, 1991)(The Associated Press, 2004). It is obvious that there are many different illnesses that can lead to serious problems if not addressed, which is why it is important that being underweight be looked at as seriously as being overweight.
The overwhelming bias that America has toward the overweight image greatly demonstrates the misconceptions of being thin and overshadows the potential threats of being underweight. According to NationMaster.com, currently reported, there are approximately over 300,000,000 people in America. As shown in the following graph, two percent of Americans are underweight, 57 percent are overweight and obese, and 40 percent are in a healthy weight range (CDC report, 2004).
Table 1
According to WebMD.com, 46 percent of people said they would forfeit a year off their life to be thin, 15 percent said they would off 10 years of their life, 25 percent said they would give up being able to have children. Getting even deeper, 15 percent said they would rather be clinically depressed, 14 percent said they would rather be an alcoholic, 5 percent said they would give up a limb. More results showed that 10 percent of people said they would rather have an anorexic child than an obese one and 8 percent said they would rather have a child with a learning disability (DeNoon, 2006). People voiced their true opinion about preferably being thin.
There is a definite difference between being intentionally underweight and naturally underweight. When someone is naturally underweight it is not because they chose to be so. The struggles are separate. When someone is underweight due to an eating disorder it is generally a choice that at some point was made. The problem with someone with an eating disorder is that they are afraid of what food will do to them as a consequence of eating. The cases in which the general public is use to hearing about are from Hollywood and other celebrities. These are mostly cases of people having eating disorders, surgeries, or sometimes non-related illnesses.
Pressure from cultures, certain geographical areas, the business world, and media can strongly influence or even oppress the perception of one’s own self-image. In the south, being overweight is known for being more accepted and in some ways expected due to the type of “soul” food that is eaten. Being thin is looked down upon because the perception is if one stands out of the crowd, say being thin as an example, that person is not considered normal and it is assumed they do not properly eat (Aaron, 2003). In some African cultures, the more overweight a person is, the more prosperous they appear. If this were to be true, underweight individuals are all poor. This is obviously a foolish claim, however is taken very seriously for those who hold it in esteem. In business, it is a known fact that overweight people are not as likely to get hired because of the idea that they are “lazy”. But in a recent MSNBC online article, one company is going even further. Clarian Health Partners is thinking about charging their employees for being overweight among other things because they are more of a costly health risk (Oppenheim, 2007).
There has been little say so about how to handle naturally underweight issues. Being underweight in society means having to take on a lot of mental baggage and still feel the pressures of being viewed as one who most likely has it together on the mere fact that one is thin. Thin in America is the choice shape and is considered beautiful, yet those in the position have the proof that beauty truly can be deceptive. From the television to the medical office, being underweight is clearly the least regarded and yet is most highly favored. How one can favor the least investigated, is a mystery. The more the public learns about this hidden problem, the more the public can begin to understand the truth about the problems that a portion of America faces and how to help.
It is a catch-22 being underweight. An underweight individual has the benefit of not having to deal with carrying a lot of extra weight or fighting the more easily detected side effects and other obvious issues from more weight, but still gets under treated and criticized because of the problematic unnoticeable signs of being underweight. Unless one is sickly thin in appearance, being skinny is a treat or a luxury in the eyes of society, yet no one knows nor understands the side effects of being so thin. Because being thin is constantly in the limelight, a thin individual may not even suspect they are at risk. If there were only more stories, more awareness, or just simply more clarity on this subject that being skinny is not what it is glamorously portrayed to be, maybe there would not be as many people with eating disorders. The truth is that being naturally underweight is a problem that an important few do face, and is often ignored or written off with scrutiny merely as a personal insecurity rather than a hazard that is to be cautioned and respected by society.

Where on Earth is God?

Nowadays, there is such a low tolerance for the Bible and worship that I don't know how worship leaders, teachers and preachers do it.

I have noticed the pull... the struggle to break through all of the deceptions, religious traditions of man, worldly and church hurts...Hang-up on top of hang-up makes it harder than ever, in a barely believing Christian society, to publicly and heathily claim the word of God as tried, true, and triumphant. The worship becomes greatly stunted and shallow. I'm not saying that people have to shout to the rooftops and jerk about 'til their necks break off, but when someone is watching one of their sport teams play, everyone in their surrounding will know; the mood is set, the favorite snack is ready, the word is put out that it's game day!

Today it seems that people don't want to read the Bible for themselves without using it against someone or for the sake of attempting to disprove it. In some cases, people use it to justify sins. A lot of people's views of Christianity - if they step back and notice - are nothing more than a build up of other people's views, words and actions. But who is the Christ in the Bible? Read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These four books of the Bible tells us in great detail. So if we have to take someone's word about Christ, lets learn from the first sure-fire Christians that died for their Friend instead.

I'm hearing more and more stories it seems of people leaving the Christian faith. People get tired of feeling judged by Christians. But then again, as I would dig deeper into their stories I'd learn the actual truth was that they really never were ready to know how Sovereign God really is. Deconversions usually happen when something bad happens and God appears arrogant, mean, cold, or like a dictator. Sometimes someone just decides that the bible doesn't really make all that much sense anyway or is just easily talked out of the faith they thought they were suppose to automatically belong to. Either way, some deconversions occur out of a level of sheer arrogance or pride... Really it becomes a moment comparison to a teenager getting angry or frustrated at their parents for doing something they don't understand. Hey, I can't blame a person for that...there is so much evil in this world that God does not stop from occurring, yet who am I to say that God is wrong. I am merely the creation not the Creator. I urge the reader to check this out

Home Based Businesses; Myth, Magic, or Mayhem?

Okay... People are always looking for that home-based business. I personally think that the home based business really is a myth gone bust! Are there any trustworthy HBB's? Of course there is the true (do-it-yourself) home based business which is something I do enjoy, but I'm talking about the stuffing envelopes for a load of weekly income type of ordeal with low overhead and no need for a phone (due to the fact that I'd have to make shhhh references to quiet the kids every 5 minutes). However, I must admit that a company that I know is honest and highly reputable is Alpine Access. It's won't give you your own home business but they're legit and you do get paid by the hour. It's customer service from your home. All you need is private space, a sound proof headset, and a computer with high-speed internet access. Visit http://www.alpineaccess.com/external/index.html and see for yourself.

Here is a very helpful website that alerts the seeker to the many web scams out there and he provides the list of each web address. It saved me time and $$$ yet the downfall is that there is no list of legitimate hbb's (home based businesses) to point me into a better direction. I don't know; I'm sure he updates. Here's the link: http://niba4u.com/

Economic Pestilence

I had a dream three days ago or so.
A man was showing me around various places (like a tour-nothing pretty). Then he shows me a canal that ran through a city and it was filled with blood. The next thing he showed me was a wall of huge bugs that appeared of a particular type that I can not name and they were in a patterned formation on what looked like a cement wall that was also extremely huge and it sat horizontally atop the canal. I suddenly spoke aloud in almost disbelief "Economic Pestilence"! The man I was with agreed.
Next a great sign appeared like a huge billboard or suspended wall that stated "We care about you!", only there was a hand giving the "f" you finger before the word "you". This finger was blurred out to my eyesight; it was censored to me. This statement was from the government and in the same feel as the Uncle Sam's "We Want You!" sign. And that was it. I woke up.

Now for those that know me, I am not a political person any more than the average. Economic pestilence is not a term that is commonly thrown around. Heck, before my dream, I'd never heard it before. From what I found on the internet about it (not much), it represents an outbreak of disease due to economic plays, such as overseas trading. Overall, I had to look up the meanings of both according to dictionary.com:

ECONOMIC:
1.pertaining to the production, distribution, and use of income, wealth, and commodities.
2.of or pertaining to the science of economics.
3.pertaining to an economy, or system of organization or operation, esp. of the process of production.
4.involving or pertaining to one's personal resources of money: to give up a large house for economic reasons.
5.pertaining to use as a resource in the economy: economic entomology; economic botany.
6.affecting or apt to affect the welfare of material resources: weevils and other economic pests.

PESTILENCE:

1.a deadly or virulent epidemic disease.
2.bubonic plague.
3.something that is considered harmful, destructive, or evil.

Lets be in prayer that God be merciful. Let us be watchful. Let us repent and live according to His will. Let grace be appreciated in our lifestyles.
We cannot count on the hearts of those who are in government to cover our well-being. The Lord is our shield, protection, and shelter. Let us put our trust in Him and keep one another in prayer. Lets constantly look for opportunity to spread the gospel of Christ Jesus of Nazareth.

Word from the Lord

Though my hair grows long, I feel as if I should cut it all off bald.

I am reminded by the Lord of how holy He is! He is so holy that what we deem as "not that bad" nowadays is still wickedness to God. This pains me that we no longer are caring about the standard of God. It freaks me out. I had been a bit down lately about how it seems as if no one cares about the word of God unless it's to prove someone wrong about something. Where are the saints of the new generation? Where are the ones who care? Hell appears bigger so I want to trick myself into thinking that maybe I just take God too seriously!!!! How foolish of me! Who are we that I would downplay His intentions or the Bible. I was in this mood when I received the following message and I am confident that it is by the spirit of Christ Jesus of Nazareth...
Hear this word and let it test and humble your hearts; it has truly tested and humbled mine.
This is a word given through Lynetta Dent as a Seer in the spirit of the Lord July 28, 2008:

WHERE ARE THE MOURNERS?

Matthew 5:4- Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Is there a people that will mourn for the hurting, the lost, the poor, the sick, the oppressed? Where are the mourners? For I will respond to the mourners. Those that mourn because of the pain, those that mourn and cry deeply for those that are hurting- My church has become numb and dumb- Deaf to my sayings! Warn the Body to leave such a place, such a position of selfishness- For I the Lord require the mourning of my people.Have you forgotten your nation, and the state that it’s in? Have you forgotten your children? Mourn church, cry unto me for I the Lord will answer you! And I will answer quickly, speedily as the tears fall, as hearts melt! For the burden of the Lord is upon the church. Can you feel it church? Can you feel the heaviness of the hearts of man? Can you sense the bondage that many are in? Where is your compassion? For it has gone with the wind! Idly you stand by and do nothing! Watching from your prime positions, looking from your rooftops, only to observe but there is no action because there is no compassion.“ I want, I want, I need, is your new motto! Therefore I will not respond without mourning. This I say- Return to your first love! Forsake your idols & run after me with a whole and pure heart! Mourn church! Cry Out! For this is what I’m requiring. –

I urge you all to review the entire message so go to www.thesiloamconnection.org

Thanks for reading...essence

My Hubby My Hormones

Husbands are great! Wives are wonderful! The union is to the glory of God (hopefully). There is a book out called "Sent. Break forth..break free.." by Lincoln Dent that has really caught my attention. It's a book about breaking loose from being stagnant and into what God has called you forth in. In the forth chapter he talks about "sent" marriages; marriages that grow to be mighty as a union in Christ that put the enemy to flight! One of the most wonderful and humbling eurekas in this chapter is when he talks about the relationship with his wife and his mentality at one point:

"One of the things I had to learn as a husband was that my wife was not my enemy....

The reason my marriage wasn't changing or flowing in a different direction was because my mind had not been renewed in that area....

I had become one with the thoughts of the enemy. Satan and I were walking in agreement establishing his kingdom in my marriage. He accomplished this through my thought life."

Wow! I don't know about you, but this hit me in a huge way! These three statements of his pinpointed some obstacles that I struggle with within myself. Now I'm not some perfectionist, but God's way is perfect. He is the perfecter of our faith. I don't want people thinking that I emotionally flog myself to do God's will because then where would God's grace be magnified? It's just that these statements of his are influenced by the holy Spirit. He was made aware that in order for God to show them to the next level, and not be stagnant, he was going to have to do some maturing and self evaluating. He was going to have to understand and learn how to love his wife "as Christ loves the church". I realize more and more from reading these passages how important it is for a man to know the importance of his position in a marriage and the woman hers. If Christ is the example to the church, my husband is my example to me. If I represent the church and Jesus represents the husband in this biblical comparison, than the growth of the wife is totally suppose to be the glory to her hubby (which overall glorifies God in our union). For Jesus we are to put off the old man of the sin nature and live by the holy Spirit. In the new testament, the church is constantly being tested, perfected, and exposed (to God's glory). So how much more are we as the wives to do the same thing- put off the old man; the woman of attitude and bickering about things we see as trivial. The church can be this way; always having an attitude or disagreement about something. Doesn't this sound like a woman? lol.

We have to remember that our spouse is NOT our enemy! So why can we sometimes treat them like that?
My husband, in monotone, made a statement before bed one night - he had briefly upset me, and he made the statement to our drooling 1 year old daughter, mommy had to have her one moment of attitude for the day, as he was rolling over to go to sleep. There I was, griping and showing an impatient attitude towards my hubby over nothing really. I don't want to take something like griping too lightly because often the enemy can use such things to cause discord and open sinful doors through improper communication.

So ladies, if we want to know how we are suppose to treat our husbands in the sight of God, all we are called to do is to understand what Christ calls the church to be to Him! I challenge us all as men and women of God to study the roles of the husband, Christ Jesus and His wife the church so that we may learn how to become the powerful [kingdom] married couples He is saying we are destined to be; no matter how our hormones try to interject and control! Lol

Let us see where we can change our thinking away from assisting the enemy (with discord, impatience, and selfishness, etc), to destroying the negative holds and digging our heels in deeper into God's love towards our spouses. We have to learn to think as a unit instead of a survivor. In order to do this, I am convinced that one must first be aware as to which force one has been helping and agreeing with the most. God or satan. It may sound over the top, but most likely if this God and satan talk does sound over the top for you, then you have probably been assisting the wrong team!! lol
